Our Story
Learn how to drive behind the wheel with Dolce Driving School. We understand that learning how to drive takes time and patience. We will teach you the basic skills you need to operate a vehicle safely by providing one-on-one lessons for drivers ages 16 and up.
Dolce Driving School services the following areas:
Bloomingdale, Butler, Caldwell, Denville, Fairfield, Haskell, Lincoln Park, Montville, Morris Plains, Parsippany, Pequannock, Pompton Lakes, Riverdale, and Wayne. Other areas may be serviced upon request.

How Can We Help You?
6 HR BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING
This service is for a student who has passed the NJMVC Knowledge test and is at least 16 years old. NJVMC requires a minimum of 6 hours through a certified driving school to acquire a permit. The six hours is usually broken up into three lessons. At the completion of the six hours, students receive a validated permit, a scheduled road test date, and an insurance discount certificate. Additional lessons are sometimes recommended to better the student's skills, but not required. See below for more information on additional lessons.
KNOWLEDGE TEST
Students are eligible to take the NJMVC Knowledge Test at age 16. If you child has already taken the test in their HIgh School Driver's Education Class, then they should have received a waiver from from their teacher. If your child has not taken the exam, or is not offered the exam, Dolce Driving School can take the student to an NJMVC location to be given the exam.
ROAD TEST
NJMVC requires that all cars used for the road test have a center emergency brake. If you need assistance, Dolce Driving School may be available to assist you with a vehicle for an additional fee. Please contact us in advance to set up that appointment.
ADDITIONAL LESSONS AND ROAD TEST REFRESHER
Learning good, solid driving skills is important to us. We offer additional lessons to any of our students who are looking to enhance their skills after the completion of their six hours. This can be while having their permit or even after receiving a license. This is recommended for parents or guardians who wish to enhance their child's skills with a professional instructor. Dolce Driving School will equip your child with the skills they need to know, all while gaining confidence and comfortability.
Dolce Driving School will prepare you for your road test by practicing all the testable skills that will be on the NJMVC Road Test. The lesson will include but not limited to: Parallel Parking, 3-Point Turns, Driving in Reverse, Stopping Properly, Speed Control. and Proper Turning. We highly recommend this service as the information given and skills practiced, may be very beneficial in obtaining your license.

DOLCE DRIVING SCHOOL LLC INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT
Janice is a 2002 graduate of William Paterson University. There she earned her degree in Physical Education and Driver's Education. For the last 17 years, Janice has worked in Elementary, Middle, and High School settings. She has been a driving instructor for over 14 years. As a true educator, Janice enjoys teaching all of her students. She prides herself in taking a patient approach and maintaining a calm composure in what most people consider a high stress job. In her spare time, Janice enjoys coaching her children in baseball and softball.
